Just to double check, river is snap fold 99% of the time correct? Basing this on the idea that I got position on this joker and my range includes basically anything, including nuts, and he would have to go apeshit or soul own me for this to ever be a bluff?

Same hypothesis on this relatively same hand.

Is he just check raising river praying I don't have the nuts or something? With my hand I can't call but its just hard to believe him here. i mean a set reraises turn at least right? Does he actually jam two pair on river thats so bad if so.

This is really read dependent so if hes one of those regs which facing a 3 barrel will never call but just fold or jam whatever he has hoping to get you to fold anything but the nuts the last thing you should do is go for thin value and fold to a shove imo, either check back or b/c. Again maybe this guy would just call and never bluff but it does seem to be a line of thought a lot of regs share. The second time Id def look him up there, I mean hes repping like only 77/7Ts or he misplayed a set earlier on, and if anything you want to prevent him from potentially exploiting you like this and you not being able to go for thin value.

reasoning:

first looks way more like hes turning a hand into a bluff vs you than exactly Txhh/KJhh

second is a tough board for you to 3 barrel so i think he will give you respect here and not c/r without a monster, plus its also hard for him to rep much so i think he may take that into account and not c/r light

shudnt we be careful with our river value bets against this particular opponent if he always folds/crai rivers?

So weird, I think i share sides with evilskys
For hand number one what hands do you think he turns into a bluff? I can only think of Ax one pair hands.

Having no real history or reads with skier, i felt too tight checking these hands back on river... If i check back river on hand number two I have to check back JJ+ on rivers which doesn't really help balance my 3 barrel range. However, checking back river or looking up eventually doesn't sound half bad now.
