against a aggro villain I would probably check shove.
but like maynard said, he is quite nit. 17/13?

why would he bet so big on a dry flop with a made hand..hmm

Try2BePerfect   . Jan 09 2010 17:38. Posts 168

I would make smaller 4bet pre, if I check/fold such flop. Like 42. Or bigger and push any flop...

You mean 4bet? I think 4betting is basically the only way to play it. I think shutting down is fine if he is a good player. A good player knows that he can't call there with AJo. If he is bad, then cbet/fold or shove.

I think there is merit to c/c down on a board like this, I mean some reads would be nice so its not just blind guesswork tho.

Depends on your image but i`m shoving 90% of the time he is folding a lot

hazing74   Canada. Jan 12 2010 09:30. Posts 111

i never expect him to flat AK or AQ in BB, . From what I could tell, he was not aggro at all. DIdn't ever see him get out of line.
I felt like he had a medium PP that was going to call on this type of board. Am I wrong?

woodbrave1   United States. Jan 12 2010 10:56. Posts 485

Flat call pre seems kinda retarded to me, there's like 70 in pot and 200 deep, for some reason he finds flatting tt/88 more +ev then shipping it in for a 5bet?
I like check raise Allin on flop over check fold but I'm crazy.

Shoving here is not the best option most of the time vs a nit i think
You will find him often holding PPs aswell as AJ and will be breaking keyboards down -.-

flatting AJ vs 4bet IP when 100bb dont make no sense.
if he fltas AJ hes flatting all sorts of shit. which mean he dont have a J a good % the time, and you got 170 in pot and only like 150 left, if he ever folds to shove, its redonkulous
mfer got AJ he got AT AQ, make no sense for him to have a pocket pair other than KK+
he got AJ he got KQ and KJ KT, QJ
anyway u got outs. 150 to win 250,
whats that like 38%?
he folds to your shove 20% the time and the other times u have 15% equity looks like this
+170 20%, -150 68% 12% +250
+30,+34,-102
so -38, not terrible at all
looool
so lets just say his range preflop for flatting
is KTs+,QTs+,KQo,ATo-AQo,ATs-AQs and no pocket pairs cause it really make no sense.
if you open jammed 150 into the 100, thats pretty much unexploitably +ev.
unless his flat range here is exactly KK+. that is undubiably -ev.

Do not give in to evil, but proceed ever more boldly against it.
