My memories of NL10 was that TAGs were generally quite tight and 5 bet shoves were usually showing up with AA or KK in situations like this. Villains were 17/13/4.0 over 250 hands and 3 bet % of 4.5 which i dont think normally justifies a call but he started to get a aggressive for a few hands against me by 3 betting me pre flop. he may have just got a few decent hands, but is this a call nontheless?

you really cant be 4b/folding AK......you just put 40% of effective stacks in and folded with AK.

also dont chat so much and definitely dont tell him what youre folding..

This hand is extremely butchered. Really your hand could be 32o. Dont turn hands with value into bluffs, if you think he is so tight.

ok. that is solid advice. i dont normally chat, but this became a friendly game/discussion because of an epic 4 way all-in pot when i had a set. this has been the only time i have found myself in discussion with players at the table.

also, calling the 3 bet isnt an option either since we will be OOP post flop right?

the answer im getting is either 4bet call a shove or fold to 3 bet.

Typically yes. Also, don't 4bet 40% of your effective stack there. You're totally committed to call a shove with any two cards vs his range when you do that. You might as well have 4bet shoved (not usually a bad thing).

What everyone else said. Remember, when you have an A and a K, it's tougher for him to have AA or KK, so expect to be flipping a lot and ahead of AQ and random stuff sometimes,

rofl dont fucking 4bet and then fold to a 5bet, flatting your 4bet is probably something he does 1% of the time or something, these guys love jam or fold mentality
