Notes on villain: not alot. not seen many hands, total of 14 hands, and he is 14/14/33
Tournament status: Still a good while to go to the money, 1800 left, 855 paid.
Is this bad to 3bet here when stacks are pretty deep? Better to flat? He tanked for so long then called to see flop, then insta shoved flop. wtf can i make of this? why does he donk shove here? nut flush draw? hit his K? But I jsut cannot put him on AK/AA/KK here because he would not have tanked so long pre flop. Surely? What is going through his mind? I mean i 3bet and then he shoves flop, he has to be strong, he wants call or wants me to fold? Is it even possible he set mines here with 77?
Maybe i am thinking too much into this, and he is just a donk. Thoughts?

don't try to put too much thought into it. but he probably has a pair of kings. yea i dunno if i'd min-raise but i can see why you did. i'd prob flat or raise to 9K and gayly stack off with AK |

Um he didn't min-raise he raised 3500......Chew I'm not really sure here honestly. I'd probably flat and go with it on a safe board, I'm interested to see what better tourney players have to say. |

Can you explain why flatting is better than raising in this scenario? I would like to know why is it better. I am not saying that it is wrong or right, I just want to know why it is better in this scenario. Reason I raised was because I had position and wanted to have pot control on the flop. I really wasnt expecting him to shove here at all. I mean if he checks the flop, I can raise and take the pot down alot of the times. But is it because of the stack sizes it is much better to call, and if he checks to me I can raise him on the flop exact same way and get same results, taking a small pot.
Is it because by raising I am increasing the pot to a point, where if he donk leads on the flop, I am forced to fold (if i miss) because by raising I am commiting my whole stack when I am in a very marginal situation. Where as if i flat call, and he still donk leads, I can possibly flat call his donk lead and take it on the turn if he checks. (and see a turn card for alot cheaper compared to 3betting pre) Or is this really bad too? Also what if he checks to me when i flat call, I have to bet and fold to a c/r ?
Prob over thinking alot here.
In this scenario i folded, but I really do think that insta shove like this is a draw alot of the times? |

I would flat for the reason you just explained. You want to be able to call a bet on the flop if he leads without committing your stack depending on board. Then re evaluate turn. |

I flat for deception and because you have decent set odds too. And I hate the fact that if I 3bet I have to fold to 4bet |

why is there such a discussion about what he should do lol?
personally...im flatting pre just because of the size of my stack, the size of the raise by him (4x is a lot into a tourney), and the size of the stack of the raiser.....look how many chips you have..................why get into a huge pot with another big stack with no read and only TT? also i agree with Ace above, i also flat for deception...if u hit u can build up and stack hard
secondly.....the way that u played it....the turn is an INSTAFOLD.......i know this is a $3.30 donkament so he could very well have AQo and have completely missed and is jus tryin to bully u....but still....this is an instafold....u dont really beat much, ur at best flipping or a slight fav....but ur prolly dominated by a higher pair, AK, or a set (less likely than other two)
good fold |

Not sure you can call here, you're not beating much of his range at all... only pure air really. Best case scenario for you here IMO is a coin flip at best. |

Don't 3bet this unless you want to call this. his range imo is either a gay king kt,kj,maybe kq or a fd but more often then not this seems like a fd also he could be spazzing with with a smaller pair and praying you don't have a king ..... Lol I'm rambling just call and fuck him if he has a king |

i think this just looks like KJ or KQ uber scared of more cards. i play the 3 dollar rebuy often to and see this move with top pair bad kicker |
