killaherni: raises $0.05 to $0.10

pot preflop or call instead

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

I'm a total Omaha noob, but isnt it very likely that he has a J here? I mean this is not Holdem. I wouldnt go too crazy with this hand, unless you think he is megacrazy.

the J is very likely, and so is a standard "I HAS A bOAT" overvalueing hand at this stake or I have the J bluff.
I think a Hud is even more crucial in Omaha than in Hold'em.
If the guy is a standard NL-tag-fish, then, let it go obv.

yeah his range is polarized between Jxxx and compete air, so pretty easy to let it go on the turn

Simple math to aid you. You let 8 cards see the flop. You hold 4 and the turn is 4. That means there are 8 cards out of 52 accounted for, 44 not.

Just using simple random math, ignoring all actions, one of those players has a 8/44, or an 18.1% chance of having a J. Doesn't seem so implausible that he holds quads now does it?

Now I really am a busto. Thanks FTP.Last edit: 16/04/2009 13:57
