Omaha Hi/Lo $5 rebuy

The opponent was playing kinda crazy. Is this call good or should i have folded to preserve position and chips?

i dont understand why you would raise this hand utg, especially minraise.... -_-; just call and see a flop because
you HAVE to hit with this hand and are inflating the pot unnecessarily.


assuming that all A2, A3, A4, A5 calls you, you have a worse low than 50% of this range which is most likely out there since you are getting 4 callers... right now you can't beat A5 or A4 for low, and only have pair for high

given that villain bets the pot on the flop you can rule out A2,A3 (since no one here bets out a counterfeit) and conclude that 90%+ of the time he has A4,A5.... and is essentially freerolling on you since he has low locked down


... right now the only best possible card for you is the Ace for scoop... which means you are 10% only for scoop... and are a huge underdog...

although you did have plenty of outs for high... you have to ask yourself whether you're willing to go broke with this hand just to get half of the pot back... you can either fold flop lose 800, or commit over 10k chips to try to chop for a pot that would increase your original stack size by 1k? rofl..

ha, ok. at first i was trying to get him to fold. The rest was because I'm new and obviously don't have that sort of though process with this game.

I died a little bit inside when I saw you open this UTG. In normal Omaha it's a good hand but oop like this, it's marginal at best in O8.

Actually RS_II pretty much explained it. When you make your hand with this hand, a lo will win at least half of the pot. That's why having A2 in your hand is so important. Ace also would give some high hand equity, so A2, A3 etc, make way more nutlos than this hand. The only thing you're really hoping for is for the flop to come down A2x.
