So PS sent me freeroll tickets

To kick-start the new year in style we are rewarding players with a ticket to each of our PokerNews $2,000 Cash Freerolls, for every 150 VPPs earned throughout December. As you earned over 750 VPPs, we have credited you with a ticket to all five of these tournaments. You may play in all five of the $2,000 freerols, taking place on January 10th at 07:30 ET and 13:30 ET, January 17th at 07:30 ET, January 24th at 21:30 ET and on January 31st at 07:30 ET.

Questions:

1) Should I even play them? I feel like my EV from playing a 5ptbb/100 or w/e game on measly NL5 actually might be superior. Should I just play them on the side of my normal session?
2) If I do play them, how long do they tend to take?
3) How do I adjust my game? I play a 14/11/6 game at NL5, and I think myself as a terrible weak tight.

I have never played tourneys ever, so any input is appreciated. If most of you tell me "shove every hand", that's exactly what I'll do.

1) yes
2) tight is right early on, as blinds start to damage your stack more and more you should be looking to steal in late position in unopened pots. gap concept full effect! be aware if you get 3 bet you should just give up cause most donks will be tight and never do it as a bluff.
3) be aggressive and steal the blinds, there is not too much post flop play, or at least much less than in cash games.

read harrington on holdem. they are easy reads. also, play tight, but you will have to expand your ranges as you get deep and the stacks relative to blinds get smaller. GL GL
