Hey guys im gonna b traveling a bit here soon and i want to get some good headphones, im looking for in ear style ones. Things im wondering are, is it worth it to get noise canceling? And is it worth it to spend the extra money for dual driver phones? Im not a huge music quality nerd, i dont really spend alot of time putting together my playlists and stuff, so i duno if i should even bother spending the extra money.. but if the sound is going to be very noticeably different then maybe its worth it. What would u guys advise? anyone got expensive ones and just thought "ehh i coulda lived without this forsure"
Oh and if it makes a diff i listen to music on my iphone, and game on my computer w/o a upgraded soundcard. |

whenever i wear in ear for more than 5min my ears are in extreme pain for about 2 days afterwards. i have the bose on-ear's though for like 300. they're pretty sweet as far as making it quiet and able to sleep on an airplane. |

buy an ipod shuffle since its cheapest and u get headphones with it
i used mine for like year and half with perfect sound quality .. i've gone through other headphones in prices between 1$-100$ and i can say those r the best earphones
the funny thing is that if u want to buy just the headphones alone without the ipod its more expensive = ???WTF ??? |

you dont need anything more than like sennheiser cx300. no idea how much they are in US but they must be pretty cheap. AKG is a good choice as well. oh one important thing to consider when buying earphones - if the price seems to be too low, then u're looking at some fakes. |

I use Sennheiser headphones as well (HD595) but I wouldn't be happy traveling with them. They are big and they are open air style headphones so everyone hears what you're listening to if it is even just slightly loud. |

well my questions arent really what brand to buy, i can just read reviews.. im wondering if u guys noticed a huge sound difference and a much better listening experience with noise canceling, and or dual driver headphones. |

I find that there is a huge difference in quality of sound when you purchase 'better' headphones, and compared to the crap you get with the ipod pretty much everything is an upgrade.
Noise canceling is an obvious difference that you're going to appreciate if you listen to music out and about, also I'd suggest going into a store that stocks various headphones and just trying them out for yourself... don't go buying the first thing you read or listen to |

I recommend anything from Shure. I got the SE310 ones. They're earbuds style headphones but great thing is that they come with various adaptors for different types of ears. As far as noise cancellation goes, I would take the subway to go to work and would never hear the surrounding noise or the subway itself. Also, your music is not heard to other people around which is something I really like.
They're a bit on the expensive side however they're really worth every single dollar.
I know they won't be as comfy or play the bass as good as a headset or bigger headphones but sound quality-wise and sleakness, they're hard to beat. |
