Villain is a good aggro regular.

Is check/raising the turn better? Can we bet/fold? Thoughts.

villain by this line seems to be mixing it up very well with this flat call utg, so its realistic for him to have some funky ass trash that he can't reraise / wants to see flop with.. ...

his line is super fucking weird on the flop...

I like the bet on the flop, however his flat call is disturbing so I would just keep firing as a probe bet on the turn to see

1) where he is at and
2) creating your own price to try and hit the broadway, since I would consider myself behind here ...

your turn action should be approached with caution, since he too probably has/had a heavy wrap draw and can see whether or not he has KK(likely)/22(unlikely) which should just keep flatting, since it would be logical to perceive you having AA some of the time here too ...

I have a feeling that you took the 2 barrel line here, got raised and worst nightmare situation ran into..
A35x suited, A435suited, made wheel =/... got raised, chased, and missed..

I really can't give a better idea than this without getting a sense of what his range has been throughout the course/dynamic of game.

So, probe bet on the turn, 50ish (or good pot control bet), and get more info, but def. proceed with caution, .... I like the probe bet line more than the check raise option, even just a normal check is fine too, but you get into much more trouble with the check/raise..since your obviously behind already..

folding after firing is not easy but doable... have to see more of the hand to figure out what I would do on the river...

thoughts.

bet/fold

he has to be scared of KKK/AAA and won't be shoving 2pair and lower sets. probably the only shove/raises he makes are AAA/KKK and 35. so bet is relatively safe. he will fold a large part of his range and if not you have a bunch of outs. if he calls a checkshove you have max 9 outs so I don't think that's very good. maybe like when you hold AKQJ on ATxx that could be viable.

bet fold doesn't cost you much to see the river if he flats and it disguises your hand so you might make some extra if you hit (though not so likely he calls even then). he has to fold a huge part of his range to your bet already and his shovign range is small. seems like a good spot to continue.

You almost twin-caracked his AK - JonnyCosmoLast edit: 03/01/2009 10:13
