This is somewhat uncommon (I've run into it like 2-3 times after about 200 SNGs).

What happens is the table is majority tight. They won't limp too many hands, and when they raise its like x5+BB, or mostly huge raises, or AI PF. Like 70-80% of the hands go this way. Its not just blind stealing either, they do it from all positions with or without limpers.

So I play pretty straight forward raising with top tens and some top twenties late or in position. Which I think is the best style for this kind of table?

Anyways, I'll have say AKo/AQo/AJs or pocket 8s-Ts and I will raise, then I'll get a caller and a RR AI or something stupid like this.

Other times when I'm late to act and have a pocket like 22-99 and I get an AI in front of me I just lay it down as well.

I pretty much am forced to lay it down right? Or should I AI in hopes of a flip and then continue playing tight for the rest of the tourney.

This happens to most of my raises (or they just fold to it) and I end up getting blinded.
Since most of the hands end without showdowns, I have no idea what kind of hands people are raising/calling with.

This is low stakes DoN SNGs btw.

Seems like this is the way all the tables are going today so, I finally started calling a few of them.
Found QQ, ATo, AKo, A4s, JTo, QJs, 44, pretty much every mid range hand up to the top range hands.
Semi costly information. So like I thought, I should probably repush and flip with my 88-TT if I'm kinda low (and the guy is only semi tight), and probably fold the AK-AJ ranges. Fold everything to the tight raisers.

Its just less of a game and more of push-poker, win a flip, wait for everyone else to die (and steal a blind every now and then).

this is soooooooooo dependent upon the blinds, your position, and the stacks of the people relative to you. from the way i instruct people to play the 1.10 DONs and 5.20 DONs i play a shitton tighter and basically just wait for people's incompetence to kick in, since they have no idea how to play at the bubble. i think u play too loose and try to steal with marginal hands when u dont need to chip up most of the time. the added chips u gain @ 50/100 from stealing arent worth risking 300 chips imo. also the fact that morons will call so frequently in position for no reason makes it worst.

depending on the level, if u just play tight and dont get carried away with hands, people will double u up ezpz. after all playing these is more a means to an end than a serious way of making money. this should be a stepping stone to get to NL25 quicker or something like that i would imagine.

my brother plays the 1.10s and rapes them so hard and he plays like i described above. he is now doing pretty good @ the 5.20s.
