Villain was running about 26/20 over 80 hands or so, he has been 3-betting me a ton, both in and out of position, I have largely been folding. He probably views me as somewhat nitty, and kinda weak/tight.
Last orbit I opened AQ in MP, he flatted, flop came A68r, he called my c-bet, and I checked to him on a blank turn, as I felt his range was largely consisting of floats/marginal hands which were more likely to stab when checked to than call another bet. He bet turn, we checked down and he showed T9s.

Then this almost identical spot comes up the very next orbit, although this time I bet the turn, figuring he wouldn't give me as much credit for an A as I have just played it so passively before and have generally been playing pretty weak vs. him. When he raises the turn I feel like he can be doing this with floats as well as turning marginal hands into bluffs (he has been playing v. aggro), and I also feel he raises the flop most of the time with A2 or A4, I think he is always 3-betting AK/AQ pre (with his image), and 53 probably isn't in his pre-flop range. what's our plan?

this is seriously a fold. Unless the guy is purely retarded that he thinks A9 is the nuts here. Which is unlikely. As played I think he probably has a 2 of some sort

what 2's are in his range pre? he's loosish but not that loose...i seriuosly doubt he has a two i think he has more like AT, or air (from my 200nl exp although really limited so i could be wrong but it seems like everyone just tries to outplay each other with spewy bluffs in spots like this) , i'd def call down..if he actually has a 2 i'd pay him off all day long haha

EDIT: actually I think his range here is 44, A9-AJ, or complete bluff. So ya still c/c and calling any river but i wouldn't to be shocked to see him show up with 44.

I have to say to I am really puzzled too what to do here. But from a metagame perspective is there something to say to take a stand here, because otherwise you will be run over the whole session?

Given that i`ve seen many players at this stakes take that line w/ A9/AT/AJ on similar boards for 125bb i think i`d just shove/(take a note if beat) here

lets hug it out bitch

Definitely this. Because of your specific history this was a great way to play your hand; you trapped her into bluffing a lot here.

this has to be a very retarded villain to bluff in such a spot though..

new shit has come to light... a-and... shit! man...

that's why we make money!

touché

my only problem here is that hero believes villain views him as weak tight and we do a guessing game on the level of his retardedness (slightly overaggro?wants every pot? overvalues hands? just clicking buttons?)
I guess making big folds vs monkeys isn't really appropriate

This is a bluff or he has you crushed. That doesn't necessarily make this a fold, just don't expect him to show up with a lower ace....ever. I doubt i'd fold just because he's repping such an extremely narrow range and people do stupid things.

no. it's about river play. opponent is trying to maneuver OP into a pine box.

it needs more pods.

Such a dumb spot to bluff for him, on the other hand why would he raise and risk to blow you out of the hand if he is holding something like A4/AK/44 or a 2 ? Your hand is pretty much faceup and he will probably get most of your stack anyways.

because he knows your holding is pretty strong and he wants full value of his hand, considering u have big difficulties folding a stong hand here.

btw I think we must not assume villain is a monkey, just because he is aggressive
