Just sat down, no reads, though as usual I assume everyone not sitting full is a huge fish. Seriously though... what do I do? |

5 way pot makes this tricky.. i dont like trying to get allin here cause you def dont have the nuts, and have no redraws
i would just flat call and try to see a safe turn, and if anyone else c/r's big u can fold
definitely one of those slightly ahead/way behind situations

I'm basically (even more) scared of putting any significant amount of money in if the turn is any 9, T, J, Q, K, A or Spade. The sick thing is, if I stay in (and even now), I'm getting ridunculous pot odds. |

I'd say call and bomb a blank turn if you get no action.
Since you have position, it helps that you can see what the others are going to do on the turn. If something like bet --> raise happens on a blank, you can probably fold and feel good about it. |

Oh and if turn goes check check, pot the turn. If you get a caller, and he checks the river, minbet to induce a bluff a la Myth. |

If I call and it calls behind me, how can I ever not get it in on a non spade? This pot will be massive relative to stax. |

I should mention that I assume that everyone behind me (at least) would probably squeeze AK given their less than full stax.
I mean I think my grandma squeezes pre with AK here. So its very possible we have the best made hand, for now. |

I discounted AK because I think only the guys ahead of me can have it (anyone else squeezes), I can't guess which turns hit anyone who stays in, people who flop flushes can blow me, and ITS AGGRESSIVE INTERNET POKERS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

The play ended up being barely EV+, and I'm not sure I like it... but I think calling sucks because the pot gets too big to for anyone to fold. I think this a push/fold situation (I know, lol @ folding flopped straights).

Because getting it in on the flop is too marginal vs most hands anyway, and since it's a limped pot, it could be very likely one of them already has a flush. When you shove, you do not crush any hand that will call. Therefore I like calling on the flop and getting it in on a safe turn. I think this is comparable to some Omaha situations. |

It's not a limped pot, the early guys are not playing just any SOOTEDs, the blinds may have wider pf ranges, but they have smaller stacks. |

Oh shnap you're right XD! No respect for the raiser I guess.
Regardless though, I'm still not ready to put my whole stack on that flop since I could easily be drawing dead. Sure you do give a spade a free card to draw, but if they have an As or Ks, you can still get value from them on the turn. I know you have a straight, but with this many people in the pot, I just don't know if I like getting it in on the flop with a large possibility of drawing dead. |

Getting it in on this flop 5way is suicide spew regardless of the outcome. Pretty fucked up spot really...I definatelly think you need to give up to any resistance anywhere in the hand, depending on stack size of villain getting in on safe turns is best. You basically turn your hand into a bluff by raising, you are at best flipping or crushed. |

Nobody finds a fold on the flop? I'm not sure I do, but it still seems better than calling to me. This hand hurts my brain.
