77 turned into 3barrel bluff. Total

villain is 30/12/2.1, plays kind of passive pre/postflop but not horrible. He saw me overbet a set in a big pot with a set earlier. I was playing 24/20/4.6. This total spew ?

What are you trying to rep with your bluff here? Your river bet looks like a missed FD and certainly doesnt look like betting for value with a made hand which is what your bet sizing on flop/turn might suggest. All that the river bet pushes off the pot is a busted FD but his call of your river bet would suggest that he is not chasing the flush as he is not getting the odds to hit it on the river. YOur betting story just doesnt make sense here.

I think his range def includes 88/99 89s plus over pairs here and if so you are complely crushed. Even the second bullet is wrong in my mind cos if you have been caught overbetting set then overbet again. that way you can define his hand far better too.

Thanks for reply. I aggree that story doesn't makes sense, I wouldn't overbet AK here. On the other hand I was pretty sure he was holding like a weak made hand here. I think just checking the river and hoping he doesn't bluff a draw is better then

I can live with your turn bet but would have though overbet on flop would achive what you wanted
