i made the money from 1 buyin of nl50 on saturday and took some shots at midlimit players, made a mistake and played too long w/ no food and little drinking...played like 18 hrs, eventually busted at the 18th hr when i ran into 2 sets and then had a misread cuz his 3bet frequency was very wide...and thought he would be making a play at the pot with a huge range

and seriously, this isn't just me, i've taken two shots at high limits (one at 25/50 and one at 3/6) with a minimal roll and had both villians hit 2 sets on me within 30 hands, actually villian hit 3 sets this time, 333, 333, JJJ....

i realize i can grind it up and do things right, i just wanna be at midstakes so fuckin bad i have no patience it seems =[

I think you missunderstood word SHOT... it means after you lose some part of your roll you set before the SHOT, you move back down
This is hillarious how you go broke every fkin time with 5 bi or less on HU tables.. any sane person would get it after 10th failed "shot" but you are just the special case...
if you have the urgent need to play above your roll, why not to try it on 1/2 hu tables where you have the chance to last more than 100 hands ?

yea problem is that he CANT grind it on any limits, cuz he cant beat any limits hes horrible havent u seen the hands he posts everyday?, thats why he gets frustated and just take shots (he succeded once where he donated to every lper, but he has failed probably 1 thosand times...)

why the hell do all of u care so much?
are u that jealous?

it bothered me for around 20 mins, then i said oh well, i'll do it again, who cares.

i probably will bust again

its a long road to be a great successful hu player.

not like its going to happen overnight.

im a hu / mtt player - yesterday i had 100k stack in both 3rebuys (2:15 and 8:00), the $55 shorthanded (got tp vs gutshot got 15/140) and 10r and i was pretty tilted that i didn't get any big scores...i then proceeded to find fish to pick on on midlimits and obv it went bad

who gives a shit, i fuck up all the time, manage your own games and get off my back for DOING WHAT I WANTED TO DO

YES, I WAS TRYING TO MAKE $12,000 last night.

Yes i was on tilt last night.
Yes i was still playing my A game.
Yes i lost 7 flips in a row AK vs 88 etc for around $400 a flip before lp started railing
Yes LP missed me run it from 2500 - 600 then back to 2800, then to 0, then me redeposing $200 and building that to 1800 is where they started watching, after i beat some guy hu and some reg sat in and ran in god mode vs me =[

they just started watching at the very end of 18 hours of play and throwing random judgements to make themselves feel better for not understanding hu play.

i know i should never play on less than 20-30bi, especially for hu, but like i said, i wanted a br for 1/2 and 2/4 and i felt comfortable in the games, so i took a shot, with the roll. omfg, neilly lost his roll again, omgomgogmogm big fuckin news there guys!

w/e, it costs me 3 days of my life and i had fun and paid off a couple debts.

its a long road to be a great successful hu player.

not like its going to happen overnight.

im a hu / mtt player - yesterday i had 100k stack in both 3rebuys (2:15 and 8:00), the $55 shorthanded (got tp vs gutshot got 15/140) and 10r and i was pretty tilted that i didn't get any big scores...i then proceeded to find fish to pick on on midlimits and obv it went bad

who gives a shit, i fuck up all the time, manage your own games and get off my back for DOING WHAT I WANTED TO DO

Neilly I try to stay out of your threads, but i'll say this in the hopes that it actually helps you. You are no where near as good as you think you are, lots of your hh's show some glaring leaks you have that you appear to think are 'standard' b/c of your 'image'. Your advice in mtt threads is often times wrong, as is the advice you post in threads that are much higher stakes than you play.

I know you think you're just unlucky, that you really could be a winner at 2/4+ if you just magically had 20k right now. You couldn't, trust me. From your mtt game i've seen, you may be a winning player in some lower BI/skilled events, but you are by no means good. You spew a ton, and play way too fancy, and coming from me, that means something. I'm not saying you don't have the potential, but (as tons others have told you) you really need to learn some discipline, BR management, and tilt control.

Of course he'll be in a long losing streak and going busto, but hey he'll learn it by himself right ? So there's no need to tell him how to do a bankroll management or tilt control because he already knows that. Why bother ?

neilly is one of the main reasons i come to LP. He always reminds me in what kind of degenerate business we are, Poker, to me, it's like working, I see EV of my actions, opponent's ranges, etc, and I have a steady income.

However, people say gambling has ruined many mens' lives and Neilly never fails to repush that into my memory, giving me a shaking thrill in the back of my head.

It never fails to amaze me how stubborn and unable to learn some people are, always catching the one lucky streak that just seems to be round the corner.

Desperate gamblers, high stakes, lots of money on the edge, this is the excitement my poker needs after nitty grinding and setmining lol.

how i got it:

took $50, turned it to 2.5k in 3 days grinding nl50 hu and nl50 fullring (u can search my hh's on lp to see alot of it) - i grinded a little nl100 in here too

then one night i beat on some shorty fishes at midlimits, did fairly well, had 2800, came back next day and played around 20 hrs, mostly mtt's, at the end i was playing way too high vs unkown shortstackers on mid - high limits, and there ranges were so big pushing on 20x bb etc i had to constantly snap w/ 66 and lose to A4, AK and lose to 88, etc.

yes i played outside my roll, its why i lost, w/e.

ive done it before, i'll make it again.

Bigred i think you're semi-right, but you obviously don't know the metagame that goes on behind the hand histories, with my "image" (ultralag) i have to make a lot of calls and resteals that others don't have to make since i am rarely getting credit for a hand.
i do have a few leaks though, mostly not in play but in discipline.

and ya, im a bit dilusional, so what.

Fayth theres many ppl who have taken my approach at the game and have found it to be the best approach, you just need a lot more money than i have to do so. (fazi / raszi / gussy / durrrr / many more)

yeah i lack the discipline to grind through micros when i want to make atleast 1,000 a day, i know this, i find grinding pennies to be a waste of time

i'll keep working hard on weekend tournaments til i get a good score, then we'll see whos right.

and ive played over 100k hands on a limit, then 100k on another limit, and close to 75k on another limit, thats all fr and 6max, and a ton of hands on micros learning the game, but i didn't have PT back then so i have no count

i have no counting of how many hu hands ive played but im guessing 50,000 hu hands between nl50 - nl1k with a few hands of nl5k

you really have to elaborate on that; i dont think its fair for you to just throw out such a vague statement

from lps own durrr interview:

All of those players have started off with playing micro limits where they developed a lot of skill and simple robust experience. They didn't have a lot of money when they started out, unlike you who comes from a rich family.

Sure they've had their spurs of tilt/moving up too fast (I only know about fazi and raszi) but they're better players/waaay more solid than you are because they have 100 times your experience + the fact that their shots at the tilt-move-up mode was not with their entire roll.

Neilly, it's been said 1000 times, but I'll say it again. If you don't have BR disipline, you can't succeed at poker. This isn't about having it 29 out of the 30 days in a month. You need to have it every day. Neilly, you don't have BR discipline. Unless you get it, you will not succeed in poker.

i do this because the micro and midlimits players have tons of leaks and theres a thousand ways to win.

who gives a fuck if i lose a few k, ill win it back

hey neilly ihave a good idea for you

next time you get halfway to having a 'midstakes roll' (whatever you define that to be), instead of persevering with risky buyin management, just cash it all out except $50, and regrind from there

I assure you you'll make plenty of money in no time .

There still is a big difference between having agressive BR management ( Like Fazi taking shots at very Highstakes with like 15 byu ins) and having Neilly BR management ( always playing 1-4 buy-in shots till busto)

i do not think these threads about railing neilly are pertinent information or for railing....and i think its sort of nasty towards him as well. maybe when he gets to 5/10 it might be thread worthy but this has gotten a little bit out of hand. everyone has their own opinion about ryan, but frankly, its like the paparazzi following him around. literally whenever he plays...if its deep /semi deep in a tourney, even as low as a 1.10, the threads start and urge his degeneracy, then when he takes aggressive, lots of times ill advised shots, he gets flamed for it. its like pimping a whore and then slapping her for fucking so many people. let him make his own attention seeking threads.

who gives a shit let me regrind from 50bi to 100bi on each limit and progress up the limits.

i've had no perspective for a long time, you all forget i was a steady grinder for a year before going to hu.

my ptbb/100 is much much higher now after close to 9 months of heads up play and my flop play is much stronger

im going to give it my best shot to do things right, theres no way i can write poker off without giving it my 100% best shot to see if I can make it instead of being a degen rushing things.

yes ill be at nl5 til 500, nl10 til 1250, nl25 til 2250, nl50 til 5k, nl100 til 10-11k, nl200 til 22k, nl400 is the goal.

then i start the 100k challenge at nl400.

i'll be at nl50 in less than a month, nl200 in 2 months.

last thing im going to say is i have a coach now, hes a very strong player and is a good friend from starcraft, hes helping me manage my money and teaching me a correct poker players mindset and getting me off my tilty hu rush that i've been on. We're working hard and I am very confident that I will succeed.

I'm not writing off HU, when I have a NL50 roll i can either play 8-12 tables of 6max or play 2 tables of HU. and so on.

stop flaming me and go fucking learn to play the pokerz you fools.
