And he did so in a very smart manner.....lol 87k over the 9k raise...I think durr has to have a huge gap in his 3bet / 4bet calling range to make that play by Gus profitable with QJs...

Maybe just maybe gus has done the math before doing this at 500/1000? There's nothing funny really about betting 87k to win 9k

not like gus is actually a winner at these stakes but that shove does not have to have anything wrong with it unless you like being ran over by 3bets every hand.

preety standard shove, you get a queen and you find out your other card is a jack and they are both the same color the money is going in

Frankly, I have no idea about durr's ranges, I just saw it is a Railthread, saw a HH and posted a comment; it is not like I was trying to give advice to Gus on how to play his hands

I was enlightened it is a fine shove, good for him then.

the QJ shove isn't bad really, might not be the best move though

durrs sick enough to 5bet shove is gussy 4bets to 25k or so, this takes the bluff ability away from durrr, and its not even 1 bi

If he 4bets QJs smaller he has to call a shove anyway cuz durrs range is very wide.

this is true, gus' shove here is completely fine given the dynamics
