Your top 3 albums

I have been listening through all my favorite albums over and over so I figured why not make a thread where people list their 3 favorite albums and hopefully I can find some new music to fall inlove with.

Making a top 3 is probably close to an impossible challenge but w/e, I will give it a shot.


1.

The beatles - Abbey Road



Definitely my favorite beatles album. I think most critics hold "sergeant pepper's lonely hearts club band" higher but I like "Abbey Road" as an album more. All the songs fit together well and just creates a whole that is beyond sick. Great mix of silly/slow/weird/good songs.


2.

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon



At first I really didnt understand this album but after listening through it a couple of times I completely fell in love. There was a period of like 2-3 months when I almost only listened to this album. Its psycadelic and weird but also crazy good, the whole album is like one long genious song. Me like!


3.

Glasvegas - Glasvegas



Now there are a couple of albums that probably deserve this spot more but this one is definitely up there somewhere and I figured I would promote this a bit more because everyone just peed in my mouth when I posted about glasvegas in my blog.

Bottom line is, this album is sooo good. I dont know what it is about Great Britain but they can sure produce some fine musicians/songwriters.

Similar to most great albums I wasnt superimpressed the first time I heard it. But after the third or fourth time I couldnt keep my hands off and it has pretty much been on repeat since then. The song I posted in my blog is a live recording and is harder to appriciate so I urge you to atleast download the album and listen through it once or twice. Its sick good. Great melodies, great lyrics and very well produced.

ok, been a long time since I listened to full albums, but these three still stand out as excellent imo

1....Judas Priest - Painkiller
Excellent speedy metal, with almost no weak tracks. A real energy boost. An album that has been on repeat for more than one session for me.

2....Radiohead - OK Computer
Beautiful music at the peak, imo, of Radiohead's career. Not an easy album to get into if you only hear it once, but it grows on you tremendously and is just about as close to a fullpointer as they come.

3.....Pink Floyd - The Wall
Excellent concept album with some really good individual tracks as well. Guitar lovers will definitely enjoy this.
