Ok me and a friend had an argument while playing some live poker the other day, I can't remember exactly how the argument started but basically I was arguing with him that k2o was a favorite against any random 2 more than 50% of the time. Am I right?

these pokerstove calcs arent exactly what you stated in your question though. you asked if K2o was a favorite against more than 50% of hands which is different from being more than a 50% favorite vs a range. i assume the answer is the same but maybe not!

thats really interesting or maybe im really dumb. but you could probably write a lemma about being able to select a certain number of hands with a certain advantage when given a percentage about a range by pokerstove?

or maybe im really dumb

K2o favourite against bottom 66.4% of hands (all nonpairs with Qhigh or worse) but very marginally in lot of cases
losing to all the remaining hands(all aces, all kings, all pairs) 33.6%

so under this criteria its doing a bit better than equity vs random

why did i just do this

Q7o is apparently exactly even money against a range of random hands (aka "computer hand".

K2o > Q7o imo

And I assume you just meant that K2 is a favorite against random cards, although the wording in the OP was a little strange.

I have it but I just didn't verify. Someone told me that in a live game once and I just googled "computer hand" and Q7o actually came up, so I believed it. Now I'm curious as to what the "computer hand" really is... O_o

I think Q7o is in the middle its just that pokerstove excludes a bunch of Qx and 7x combos. Depends on how you see it I guess.

22 can get counterfeited by 3344x board while 44 cannot, it actually makes it quads!
