i feel pretty strongly that villain has set, two pair, overpair or air when they make these sorts of moves on these sorts of boards at these limits without a stellar fucking read, i think the term is they polarize their range but i dont know for sure cause im noob

what hes trying to say is call and not shove as when you shove, all bluffs fold but all hands that have u crushed call.

however again, if hes some nit or some shit that doesnt min raise this flop without u crushed u can find a fold in this spot so it is player/game dependent

if your opponent's aggression frequency looks like a sideways 8 then this might be a good time to call and keep calling, but if it's a lot closer to a right-side up 0 then you should probably fold

oh 0 villain info. well in that case i'd just assume he's closer to an upside down 0 when it comes to aggression frequency and move toward the call flop & fold if he continues or bet if he checks a non-heart turn

I shoved and he flipped over KJ.
I put him on KJ too so I don't know why I snap-shoved, it's pretty dumb to shove when you expect to have 0 fold equity and expect to lose.

very, very wise words indeed. and i'm not even being sarcastic here...you'd be astonished how long it takes most people to learn this. if you are pretty sure you are gonna lose then you don't put your money in. i swear to you that a substantial % of low and midstakes regulars, who fancy themselves good players, don't even really adhere to that principle

anyway, there's another extremely good lesson to be learned here. regulars play fucking horrible if you minraise.
