Is it right to lead out strong on the turn in this situation where there's a clear straight on the board? If I do lead out and get called, should I just shove on the river?

i'd just check/fold turn
the turn just made the board extremely ugly for your hand and there's really nothing you beat in his range esp after his flop call

Get rich or become a bum trying.

Pot bet flop. On turn with any bet you are representing a str8 and you are only going to get called by the nuts. I would put in a small value bet like $2 on the turn which may suggest you have a J or JK, if you get called or raised your done with this hand. I cant give him a free card on the turn by checking in case he only has a 7 and still has to complete his str8.

Nature abhors a hero. For one thing, he violates the law of conservation of energy. For another, how can it be the survival of the fittest when the fittest keeps putting himself in situations where he is most likely to be creamed?
