NL25 - AQo in sidepot, betsizing

I probably should know, but I have absolutely no clue what to do in side pots, and I think I totally bombed it by betting $1.50 on the flop. How am I supposed to size my bets? According to the main pot?

basically bet bigger on every street.

The fact that there is a side pot doesn't matter for your bet sizing here. Both you and MagicMan are playing for all the money in the pot, whether main pot or side pot only matters to the shortstack who is already all-in. Bet according to the total pot size as usual.

Side pots do matter sometimes because people with a brain are a lot less likely to bluff into a dry side pot. If there is very little in the side pot, fold equity is near-worthless because even if the deep stacked opponent folds, the short stack will simply take the pot.

when I get in in that kind of pots, I try to take out of the game the remainin guy. Anyhow you hit TPTK, you have to bet strong, on turn hit T2P bet to eliminate draws.
