WCOOP Event 29

To the PokerStars players and the poker player community:

I want to sincerely apologize to my sponsor PokerStars, and to all the players and spectators who were offended by my behavior during WCOOP event #29. I started chatting with an opponent at the table and we agreed to move all-in on several occasions. I want to point out that my behavior was by no means ill-intentioned, and that I did it in nothing more than a jokingly way. Reactions on the chat made me realize very quickly that my demeanor was inappropriate, and I apologized on the chat soon thereafter.
I am deeply sorry if I offended anyone with my behavior, which I understand was out-of-bounds.

As a sanction, management at PokerStars has disqualified me from the tournament and debited back my prize money award. It is a fair sanction; I do not protest it.
Once again, I apologize to all of you.

Elky if you dont mind could you please clarify Wobbly's accusation that he told you to stop doing that, that it was illegal and you kept doing it anyway.

As soon as I realized, through a comment in the chat, that what I was doing was wrong, I apologized and immediately stopped.

Well to clear up how the thing exactly happened.

I was 30 mins late into the tournament, with only 1 hour rebuy period so i felt in a gambling mood and i missed something.
I then agreed with brainwash to go all in next hand no matter what, and we did it for 3 hands, then agreed to keep doing it until one of us wishes to stop.

Then a hand came up where i was bb, but utg and utg+1 limped for 30 at 15/30, brainwash and me had 8k stacks. This was obviously a trap situation for us, so i said in chat, yeah its suspicious, we can skip that hand, where he was timing his button.

I really didn't think we had an edge because everytime it was folded to one of us, he would go ai blind and other would call, giving huge equity to the rest of the table.

I honestly didn't notice chat much up until sheets came as observer and i realized it was "forbidden". So brainwash and me instantly apologized and we stopped doing it.

I remember doing it a while back, maybe few years back in a 100r with imperium and we never got anything for it.

I've been a pro for a while but as you guys know, beside this site that i consult very often even if i don't write much, i don't spend much times on forum or community sites, so i never knew about the annette-charder situation before sheets talked in chat on my table.

I honestly don't believe it's fair that stars took all my winnings, as i spent 9k in the tourney lol but whatever. I don't hate you wobbly either, i'm just sorry for you that you couldn't realize i was doing such a -ev move and in no way intended to cheat, then making thread and calling me a cheater because i broke a fishy rule, when you had no clue about my real intentions, but its ok.

I love poker, and i'll always try to do what's right for the game.

It's definitely a thin line. One could argue that saying in chat that you are flipping is less collusion than keeping your mouth shut and just shoving blind. In the latter, people will of course catch on but people who you know likely will know right away you're offering flips by shoving whereas unknowns do not. By verbalizing your intentions to gamboooool, you've actually reduced collusion in a f-ed up kind of way by allowing all to know you're gambling.

I cant help but read elkys apology in an ironic tone because of how its written, he could just say "look Im sry about this, ddnt know the rules, wont happen again" but this kinda looks like something PS sent him to say.

Anyhow if somebody fucked me up like that and made me lose that money over such silly shit "jealous haters" would be the least I would say lol

Elky is sponsord by stars, even if he thinks it isnt fair he cant openly express it in a public apology, that is silly.
