Mindset While Playing

I have been thinking about how I feel when I play poker, maybe leads me to become a fish.

Do you think you are the best at the table no matter what?

For me, I always think everyone sucks compared to me at the levels I play at.

I assume they all suck until my soul gets owned.

i assume im the best of course 8 )

i dont think that but thats how i feel.

i dont care bout the other ppl
they are only stats and money.

I know it is cliche but staying focused on everything and making the best plays possible is the best mindset to be in. You know you are in the right mindset when instead of tilting after some fish calls an all in on the turn with a naked FD and hits the river you stay calm and think to yourself "well this guy is going to be my ATM for the next 4 hours" and make a note, or something like that. Taking your time for each action instead of playing on autopilot, even if it's just an extra second to make sure you are doing the right thing, can help a lot.

Also, making general assumptions about ALL of the players at the table as whole will make you busto. Instead of thinking that everyone at the table is better/worse than you, you have to pick out the good from the bad and play them accordingly.

On 1KNL almost everyone is a regular at iPoker so I know who sucks and who's good. On 400NL though I automatically assume everyone sucks and that I'm the best player on the table (which is usually true at 400NL).

I don't apply any sort of ego to poker.

So I only see people for their patterns.

i assume most people have a clue but when i flop i set im makin bills

I think its fine to think that everyone sucks and that you are a sicko. You just have to realize who else at realizes that about you and adjust accordingly, and who else is thinking that about themselves.

i try to feel what my opponent feels and then bluff him sometimes

i usually have to try to be calm and clear headed actually or else i end up being a big calling station and/or bluff station. i have the yomer syndrome, once i get like 300bbs deep i try to run allin bluffs

My emotions have a strong implication on how I think so I need to make sure im in a logical state of mind before playing.
