Hi guys, playing the WCOOP 530$ NL-event last night. After almost four hours of play, still 2200 players left in the field, I get JJ in de SB with blinds 400/800.
The bigstack in early position, who has been raising a lot preflop, raises again to 2400$. It's folded to the button who has got almost the same stacksize as I have, and he pushes all in.
What do I do with my JJ knowing that 1080 people get paid and my stacksize is about 10K below average.
Do I fold, or do I call ? My guess is that my hand is better then the bigstacks hand, but the button can have AK AQ and any pair between 66 and KK.

you had to push i think.....i'm actually the one that raised all in before you(DOOKIESTAIN3)...i think i had kings right?...and the jackass raiser had a/j? i guess you could've folded, but the fact that we were both shortstacked it was hard for you to put me on a higher pair. i think the odds were you had the best hand. and how did he call that all in anyway? |

I call here, at least unless I was severly underrolled and played a tourney I should not be playing.
oh sorry i misread and thought it was not that far from money. in this case i call barring some special read. |

I would definitely call here b/c of the stack sizes. Opener has a monster stack size which widens his range (unless you have a specific read he's a huge nit which you don't, so this is a fine assumption) and the guy who shoved has a perfect re-steal stack. W/o reads in an online MTT I am not folding TT+ here I think. W/ reads though that range obviously changes, sometimes fold QQ sometimes snap call AJ. |
