recently this situation occured quite a bit.

Villians play supertight like 30/20 in HU
However postflop they are quite agressive ( no wonder since they have stronger hands on average)

SO how do i adapt best to make decent amount of money of those players if possible ?
SO far my only idea is to raise smaller preflop like 2,5x etc instead of 3-4x

could any more advanced HU player give any tipps ?

i'd play a little bit more tight than usual (remain more agressive pf than him though), float his flop bets a bit more, see if he stays agressive on turn / river, if so just trap him when you hit

when he slows down on turn / river take the pots away there

can try cbetting less flops, including checking behind tp and stuff

His range for defending is subotimal -> you need to abuse that "leak" of his.

He is basically sacrificing a couple of blinds and in return he'll have a stronger range on average post flop. This means that he'll win a higher % of the pots when you guys actually see a flop. Try not to get to the point where he's actually winning more extra money post then he's losing by giving up pf-equity.

if hes that tight just minraise every button and fold every time you get action without a monster and he will bleed to death

just don't play nits but if you insist on doing that I'd just minraise 100% of buttons

wtf its impossible to lose to someone playing 30/20 pre in hunl. thats like the softest hu player possible, super low variance too. just raise every single button and defend tight out of pos. and play tighter postflop esp on turns and rivers. free win.

Playing a little tighter/aggro post flop is a good adjustment to make. Make less call downs and come over the top more or fold.

You can also start min-raising every single button and see what happens.

minraising preflop is not the best idea imo. The reason for this is that he might change his strategy and start defending the minraised buttons where you're a million % happy for him to just keep playing 30/20. Keep the 3xbb raise up and just raise every button, play tight out of position and, well just win.

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets

basically he's sacrificing money waiting for you to make a huge mistake and just overplay a hand and it pay off.

- johny cosmo's advice about postflop is sound ofc

if he changes his strategy then u can just re-adjust. if he doesn't adjust to it then its better than 3xbb.

when his range is that defined its very easy to know what flops to c-bet and not
