Looks like you induced him to move you off of the hand...

but on second thought these type of boards are really hard to bluff because retards always want to call you down with pocket 5's so if he's smart enuf to know this then obv you just fold.

I felt like I have the best hand often and also I thought he can call with worse (some draws, maybe even ace high), so I bet for value/protection. Seems quite standard to me against regs who float my flop bet a lot.

i would rather chekc/call down unless..

- he has good frequencies of flatting preflop/flop with legitimate big-pot hands (even thin ones like 88)
- he has good turn/river double barrel frequencies after floating your flop bet

which basically means he's really really sick. i like betting the turn for value/protection against somebody who is really sick tough in position, floats (or calls light for value) a lot, AND doesn't think i am out of line / tilted.

but if my opponent isn't a great bluffer, probably floats too much and traps too little, or is tilted or just hates me, then i just check/call down with the 55 here. maybe under really extreme conditions i bet/call turn and check/call river shove.

if i am betting turn for value/protection because i have a solid/tight image and my opponent is tough but not insane, then i'm bet/folding

Eh, I can go a few more orbits in life, before taxes blind me out - PoorUserLast edit: 06/09/2008 04:33
