Ok, I am going to be backing a very close friend of mine at $.50-1 to start out with. I am going to send him $2500 so that will give him enough buy ins to start. I told him he cannot move up to 1-2NL until he has at least 50 buy ins. He will not be paying back the funds if he happens to lose the $2500. I expect a good % since I am putting up all the costs. But I do not know exactly how to go about it. What % do players who back other players get. Do they get paid weekly, monthly, or what? How does this work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated for any1 who has backed a player for a few months at whatever limit

...50% + makeup applies for tournaments idk much about cash, but generally everything over the initial 2500 you get 50% of and when the stake is over he gives you back the original 2500 as well sounds about right.

Got a casino nearby? Stake him for live 2-5, 5-5 games instead imo. Easier games than a lot of 0.5/1 games online probably. And yes 50% + makeup is a standard deal esp. between good friends. Just kick him in the nuts if he jumps ship after one good winning session.

seems like 50% profit over a certain number of hands with a cap is best ^^
