very standard, don't fold to a shove now. i wouldn't fold turn to a check/raise either. way too much equity when beaten, way too often ahead, and when you are ahead you're massively ahead.

if you got tarped then
if he calls/mucks then

Oh yeah, I forgot, I had seen him do that fifteen minutes earlier :

hero co ($802)
villain - button ($141)

Dealt to hero Ks Qd
hero raises to $24, villain calls on the button, blinds fold

FLOP ($60) Ah Qs Tc
hero checks, villain bets $36, hero raises to $117
villain calls $81 with Kc 9s

Thanks for the quick reply, he check-shoved river for $201 more and I decided to call because of his K9.

yeah after seeing that K9 it's the most slam-dunk allin no matter what every single time. if he had you beat that sucks but it's gonna be hugely profitable to just get all the money in you possibly can against him in the long run

You expect to get check shoved on the river as a bluff (giving you insane odds to call) more than 17% by an unknown player?

i wouldn't fold turn to a check/raise either. way too much equity when beaten, way too often ahead

Based on what?

This is referring to your post before he showed the previous hand.

Peace of mind cant be bought.

no i expect it to be a thinner value shove over 17% of the time, and based on card combinations

prior to the K9 we don't have any real read so we assume he's not a great player and we think of all the hands that we might see from unknowns, given our experience with them

personally i expect undersets, some overpairs, and 76 to shove the river. if those hands don't comprise 17% of his range then my counting estimation sucks

and yeah we're ahead of a lot more than those hands on the turn

i mean 3x4d, 6s5d, Ad5x, Ad2x, any overpair with a diamond, undersets, 76, some small % of total air, and a small % of random overcards that picked up a diamond draw too

i mean we're ahead of all the possible semibluffs and like 1/3 of the made hands, and we're drawing to 10 outs against almost all the 2/3 of the made hands that we are behind

looks good, if he raises the turn.. idk really tough spot, depends on my reads on my opponent, since u pretty much only beat a bluff, but you do haev some outs so u can maybe peel or shove idk, on the riv probaby easy fold if he raies

Yeah I agree with Mez and tomson, river is an easier fold than the turn.
