No reads.. 2 hands before he won AA vs KK. Don't think I was steaming though..
I wasn't sure what I expected him to show up with here. Retard playing a flush draw? Maybe a stronger queen? I guess a jack wouldn't come along this far. When should I of folded? Turn or river?

I'd bet a little more on the turn and check behind on the river.
You do realize that all he did was check and call the entire hand? The only way to fold is to open fold... |

you played this fine until the river where you should have checked behind. your getting value out of some moderate hands and had decent outs to hands that had you beat. turn bet is fine imo |

Exactly this, the turn is good, you got added equity because of your K, it's a good kicker and obviously a diamond but after you bet 2 streets and got called just think about where you got get value from on the river, especially since the A came you are basically turning your hand into a bluff since you missed your extra outs for improvement and you got very nice showdown value with the Q which is good sometimes. Just check down the river. |

i notice the flop bet is pretty big while the turn bet is about 60% of flop
is this cuz the board scares you a little? or are you betting lighter for a Q or J to call? |

To keep weaker Q/J's in. Dunno if it works though.
Also so that I still have the initiative/lead and I can better control how much money I'm putting into the pot.. since my hand is marginal.
Flawed? |
