[nl50] 88 line check vs flush donk

i think this is mostly played standard and properly, my only question is the river call questionable or is it pretty standard. the way i controlled the pot size i was getting like 4.2:1 for my money to see if my set was any good? *shrug*

oh. i mean like, all i really had was stats like from 25 hands saying he was 60/0/1 or something. and luckily i had chat off for the duration of this hand. :O

im a nub ofcourse, but my line of thinking is this: shove flop, with flush and straight draws on board? doesnt really matter anyway cos if he doesnt have the King hes not paying you off either way.

no shoving the flop is terrible. you played this well. whatever you do stay at this table because clearly there is a ton of money to be made from these fish

looks fine. he could easily be vbetting here with worse than the flush

your potcontrolling too much imo. hes VBing AK/KQ/KJ here prolly also

how is pot controlling bad in a situation like this? he extracted proper value on the flop and then the turn likely killed his hand or his action, so a cheap showdown is the way to go. c/c the river is better then betting it imo, u induce semi-bluffs/value bets from worse and if your beat you lose a small bet either way, prolly less with the c/c

*SiGH* Getting 4:1 there....i'd PROBABLY (not definitely) have to reluctantly call myself. I wouldn't say a call there is "Standard", but no one will flame you over it. Great flop bet though and pot size control, just a ridiculous call from a HEE HAW w/ only a J high flush. In the long run these will be the guys paying for your vacations and strippers.
