All of you grinding 25nl, what is your approach? I started 2 weeks ago with $500 and am currently at $1100. I grind 8k hands a day at 9max on FTP, mostly for the rakeback. By doing this, Im hoping to move up to 50nl next month. |

My approach is as follows:
I started one month ago with $550 and am currently at $860. I grind 5k hands a week if I'm lucky at 9max on PS, mostly because of the allure of exchanging my FPPs for free T-shirts. By doing this, I'm hoping to move up to 50NL before my 30th birthday in 2009 and ingratiate myself with the Salvation Army by giving them a lot of T-shirts. |

what do you mean "whats your approach"
everyone grinding nl 25 has the same approach, they are multi tabling nits feeding off worst players and rakeback until they can move up and maybe later eventually improve their game after hitting a wall or quit poker because they blame the games. and some will have the occasional luckbox and become rich |

my approach as follows, lose BIs at 25nl, cry in a blogpost, grind 5nl, grind 10nl, lose 20 BIs at 25nl, rinse, repeat |

8k hands a day is monstrously awesome. If you want to do more than tread water at NL50 however you need to incorporate 4 tabling sessions as well at 6max :D |

6 tables find out who is overaggressive (make strategy vs overaggressive), who is loose passive (value town), who is weak tight (bluff until getting reraised). I guess thats how most of ur opponments are gonna play.. Figure that out then u can -> 24 tables = success

yeah and people play aggressively way more often. At nl25 you can make good money just aggressively value betting your big hands and showing down weaker hands cheaply. NL50, people will not call those 2nd and 3rd value barrels and will start punishing you for trying to show down cheaply. Position is immeasurably more important as you move up |

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess my main question was how you guys are doing at 25nl. Are you crushing the limit? If so, how are you doing it? |

.. yea and im sure your gonna be stuck at .10 .25 for a long time trying to play like CTS.
Just play solid tight aggressive poker. The lower limits arent about winning a bunch of money before showdown, its about having the best hand the most times at showdown. |

I think most of you at microstakes grossly assume that you can't play lag profitably at microstakes because in all actuality you lack the skills to do it as a general group and assume it isn't possible when in reality the more hands you can play profitably with the fish the more your winrate can reach it's maximum capacity. |
