It's illegal in Washington State, everywhere else I think it's pretty legal. They found loop holes through the UIGEA if i'm not mistaken, so poker in the U.S. isn't illegal.

LOL IM A FISH!

id really doubt in a state where internet poker is banned that its enforced like ever lol but i may be wrong ;p

anyway, a bigger question is if you can't pay taxes(can you?) on poker earnings then its basically dirty money, right? and somewhat illegally obtained money, and could cause problems?

i dont follow this at all? just because u dont pay a cut to the government you think its dirty money? how is it illegal? lol...

its fortunate that u dont have to pay a cut to the government and if u want to pay taxes on it im sure u can just give them a % that cleans your money

A Handicapped parking sign does not signify that this spot is for handicapped people. It is actually in fact a warning, that the spot belongs to Chuck Norris and that you will be handicapped if you park there.

Canada is having freedom of speech problems.

Dangerous, but worth the risk.

I live in the state of washington and play online poker, this year I filed my taxes as normal and don't expect to get in any trouble. I 99% doubt I will get arrested for it, and if I did it would probably be a news story cause I am like a normal 21 year old student in college.

lol gogogo canada
ive heard it is a cool place to live

Although I don't think we have to pay taxes here in Mexico, I'm pretty sure they don't even care about online poker cause less than 10 out of 100 inhabitants in Mexico have Internet, and less than 3 out of 100 have high speed internet according to this source (spanish: http://alt1040.com/2007/07/mexico-tie...cion-de-internet-mas-bajos-del-mundo/ )

so less than 10% of people with internet and I bet the % of people that play or win money the way we do is ridiculously small 0.001% I dont know... I doubt our shitty government would care making a law against us just to fuck 1 out of 100,000-1,000,000 people that play poker or casinos

I'm afraid to go to Mexico if it's anything like when they swarm my truck in the morning when I'm getting gas.

poker earnings are treated as 'other income' unless you file a Schedule C
