phil hellmuth is genuinely a stupid person and he does not understand poker very well at all
he's one of the MANY idiots who, by some stroke of luck, happens to have come up with a style that works very well in his niche, but when you bring him even slightly out of his element it becomes clear that his fundamental understanding is lacking. the same can be said of dozens of successful NLH tournament players - they do actually play NLH (live) tournaments well, but they don't really "get" poker

durr keeps taking mini verbal stabs at hellmuth too lol, pretty entertaining.
i dunno to what extent durr is trying to play off hellmuth's image cuz he's not really representing any major site it seems but he is becoming fairly noticeable on the live poker/tv scene from what i can tell

Man, I am going to download this later on, sucks living in the Netherlands not being able to see this on normal TV. Heard about HSP stopping and this kind of taking over and they invited Durrr so must be nice.

i didnt mind allens check behind on the river w/ KK ... we all know phil is going to try to trap him .. only thing is that he should have picked up on the fact that phil checked SOOOOOOO fast that it had to be super obvious he had nothing. i was thinking allen should have made a really small bet like 10-15k in order to extract value or keep his hand from being shown down ... if i could keep pushing phil off of pots and not show him anything i think that would be optimal ... he just insta steams. i've never seen a "pro" practically wear his cards on his sleeve like phil does, he just looks absolutely lost in the game w/ no idea of what's going on.

From what I've seen Hellmuth has a great talent for beating fish hard. This means that in a tournament he can gather a lot of chips faster than many better pros. Shame he thinks that makes him good though, but it does make him a favourite in soft tournaments.

You dont mind it? its ridiculous its beyond terrible, Phil is not going to CR him there with a fullhouse because Allen is going to check behind any not so great hand, its an obvious vbet also its very very important not to showdown that monster against a tilting Phil.
