stop.
if they're tight it's fine, play to win in mtt and this would appear to be a good spot to steal |

I wouldn't mind open folding or raising to something like 10k and fold to a raise... given that they are very tight, they are not going to make a play to you i would guess... |

I'm pretty sure the simple answer is that you dont want to be investing a quarter of your stack in a raise to have them be able to craftily re-steal and if he is gonna call you light it's not like you're a huge dog to his range or anything so its best to just put your money in and hope you run like timdawg |

i think this one is pretty standard considering you are pushing 45000 to win 8500. They probably wont call you down with anything less than 88+ A10o+. You got unlucky to run into the 5% chance they have a hand. |

yeah this almost seems like an example right out of Harrington on Hold Em where you might think for a minute that it's a fold, but in reality it's shove all day with the info you are providing. hey at least you had live cards |

clee and crown's posts are essentially the answer
you're not in awful shape if they do call, and theres just way too much money in the pot to pick up with a shove
also, raise/folding a quarter of your stack in an obvious steal spot is awful
a lot of players will insta reshove any ace, any king, any broadway combo or something.. but its a lot harder for them to just stack off/call your shove with it. goes against all poker ideals that you wanna be the aggressor and have fold equity etc.
especially with the bb in this hand having an identical stack to us, he's not going to want to call off for his tournament with a weak holding like K10o, but he would most likely reshove it. big difference. |

someone who is playing 14/12 6 handed isn't going to reshove KT on the final table bubble very often. a lot of players will reshove any ace or king but these players wont based on op's description and i think thats a really important distinction to make |
