3 betting is good. You're doing it because villain is on the button, which means he will open raise with a wide range of hands. Only three of those (AA, KK, QQ) beat yours. Therefore, your JJ is probably better than his hand. Since at these stakes it's not necessary to slowplay, you 3 bet him for value. If he shoves over, I would assume he has QQ+ and fold at FR, though I'm not sure about 6 max. If he just calls, you can assume that your hand is better than his and bet boldly as long as you hold an overpair. If he folds, you made him raise for nothing, which is good for you. He just wasted 35c.
Since you have an overpair and you don't have much left in relation to the pot, just shove the turn. |
