this weekends cost me over 10 buyins. i dont know how many fucking times i can lose aces or kings against rag hands that flop trips / sets / 2 pairs. its a joke

i was well on my way for being rolled for nl50, now i'm only a few buyins from being UNDERrolled for nl25

does this promotion mean that they are doubling the guarantee, and/or the actual prize pool as well?

"From July 7-13, we'll be doubling the prize pool in each of our regular guaranteed tournaments"

from this, it sounds like they are going to take the actual registered prize pool and double it, meaning a significant amount of overlay. or rather does it mean that they are doubling only the guaranteed amount and contributing an overlay only if it falls short?

after a week of no light, no sun, no friends, I played 31,230hands, made 17,728 VPPs and lost $550 at NL50-100-200 FR. I guess I broke even due to all the FPPs I got.

anyone here finished with good results?

every hand went to the river. I played 5k hands for a handsome $8 profit (0.2bb/100)

Any tips on some bigger tourneys that are likely to have a decent overlay this week?

The doubling of the prize pool for me didn't really live up to the weeks 2 and 3 "to good to announce here" hype listed in the schedule.

Double guarantee sounds quite nice actually. Some tourneys become much more attractive, such as the daily 50k.

here I went well 1st DAY. up 4bi broke even for a couple thousand hands then spiralled down to 8.5 bi after 35 to 40k hands. fuck that experience. I'm definitely not going to be suckered into playing tons again to act as pstars rake machine. everyone was playing very trickily, trying to extract value out of their hands, coz honestly NO ONE was going in without the absolute nuts, and the result was everyone had a fucked up hand range which is actually bad news (variance in FR for me was at a whole new level) for everyone involved except of course, who else but POKERSTARS who def made a killing in rake while giving a lot of people breakeven money LOL

what's even sicker is that in my PT, I only see a couple of coolers meh

FR is not poker, which is prolly why i love it so much lolLast edit: 06/07/2008 23:40
