I disagree casinocasino... by calling you maybe represent a weaker broader range... wouldnt you raise KJ+ for value here?

Although I think I prefer calling flop a little bit more than raising.

you want to have a larger range of strong + weak hands then a polarized range of just strong hands to become harder to exploit.

raising and calling flop areboth viable although nowadays calling seems the more standard of the two. when he calls 1100 I think Ax clubs is a big part of his range and he won't fold the turn since he paired. The other part of this range is sets and he doesnt fold those anyhow so it's become impossible to get him off his hand.

You almost twin-caracked his AK - JonnyCosmoLast edit: 24/06/2008 13:57

looks fine

u know raising flop was right because when the shortstack folds its pretty obvious he was just donkbetting.

Treat lumbermanTed as an unknown if thats what he is to u, no reason to give him respect enough for being a winning regular. I wouldn't give him credit for thinking that you're strong just because ur raising a shortstacker, so I would include KQo, and K9s-KJs in his calling range with a small chance of some worse cards. I also dont see unknowns generally being tricky enough to be slowplaying sets on flushdraw boards. Its still a close spot, but I think he'll show up with and fold a weak king 30% of the time.

Line looks good to me unless you normally play for pot control with AK on a wet board like this. I am guessing villian flat called your preflop raise with a set since you posted this. So did you hit club or no?

i do not think that you have much FE on this turn. sure he may have KQ but i'd say the bulk of his range is sets/nut flush draw

? The shortstack lead on the flop, he raised him and another guy cold called him.

If the shortstack goes all-in re-raising won't be possible. It's a question whether the guy that cold called understands that and wants to play it cheap w/ small clubs or KJ or he thinks he will be able to rr and has a monster.
