I have been hearing about this potential story on different forums and now apparently today the crew of 60 Minutes interviewed Mike Sexton, Greg Raymer, and Mark Seif (sponsored by Absolute) about the cheating scandal that recently took place at Absolute Poker. This looks like it could be coming to tv soon. I personally think this sucks and will draw negativity to the online poker scene, thus making dumb American viewers more likely to agree with future legislation. Maybe I'm just being negative and it will show online poker in a good light, but if I've learned anything about news shows they don't typically sell stories that have happy endings. What do you guys think about this airing on 60 Minutes? |

Raymer works for pokerstars so maybe they'll bring up that there are other sites that are reputable and haven't robbed from people or maybe they'll only let him talk about vague things or even WSOP |

i think this is a very good thing. not only does it draw legitimacy into the online poker industry through attention to these scandals, it looks as if they will talk to raymer and sexton, reps of pokerstars and ftp respectively, and hopefully explain how their sites are legit. looks good to me! |

raymer will probably intelligently talk up online poker and talk about the legislation
probably be really good for online poker
guess it depends how much they focus on the AP part and how they spin it

this will look like self promotion and generally this documentation will put online-poker in a bad spot. |
