to my understanding, rakeback is determined by how many ftp points u accumulate correct? if this is correct(which it may not be) does that mean u earn twice the rakeback during double ftp points "happy hours"? |

wait wait....
Purchasing using ft points is deducted from rakeback?!?
Meaning..if I were to buy a plasma tv there for gazillion points...i'd get 0 rakeback for aprox gazillion months?

no you get negative rakeback
that is, when i bought my laptop on the first day of april, i had like -200$ in rakeback, and opted not to play a lot during the month of april. at the start of may my balance was still -50$ because it carries over. if your balance remains negative for like 2+ months they close your rakeback account or something like that |

Rake back on FTP is calculated as such
Rakeback = ((rake / number of players at table) * Rakeback rate)
So if you had 9 players at the table with a $20 pot with a 27% rakeback rate you would have:
(($1 / 9) * .27) = $.03 on that hand
to calculate MGR (monthy gross revenue for that hand) you would simply do ($1 / 9) = .111111...
To determine how many FTP points you earn, you recieve 1FTP point per dollar raked in the game regardless of if you actually played the hand, same thing with rakeback at FTP you get it even if you fold unlike most of the other rooms.
FTP points = rake so in this hand with a $20 pot and $1 rake you would earn 1FTP point (partial points are awarded on fractions), during happy hour you would simply get 2FTP points or if you are at a table with less then 4 people you would recieve 3 FTP points.

FTP items purchased through the store are deducted from your MGR (which directly effects your rakeback) at a rate of $.005 per point meaning you lose $.00135 in rakeback per point spent
so lets say you get "Samsung SyncMaster 305T 30 Inch Wide Screen Monitor for 300,000 Points"
You would lose $1,500 in MGR meaning you would lose $405 in rakeback
The street value of this monitor is ~$1,300 meaning you saved ~$895 after being at tables that contributed $300,000 in rake to get those 300,000 points (assuming you werent at 2x table) Although you must note if you play full ring and contribute an average amount to rake you probably only contributed around $33,000 in rake to get this monitor.
Cliff notes: Spend $300k in rake get a $1,300 monitor for $405
Bonuses are also subtracted from mgr, if you earn $10 in a bonus you lose $2.7 in rakeback, that is why when you clear bonuses you get less rakeback but it is still more to get bonuses then it is to JUST get rakeback. |

Despite the fact that this may look bad, they actually provide some of the best rewards of any site, and they have high traffic. Although it is a bit of a nit fest. |
