Hoping for a call from.... yeah from what? J8?

Hoping for a call from a pocket pair or a 7 that liked the turn jack as it made it less likely you have one, and puts you on a draw. By checking the river you miss a lot value from these. You really need to shove. I actually would fold the river after checking though, since I'm not sure we can expect a 17/15 to call the turn with a draw AND bluff shove the river too often, and I'd say he's pretty unlikely to valueshove worse at 100NL.

i would shove as well

i liked how he checked the river. it induces some bluffs from missed draws and some shitty hands. high or medium pp and any queens might still try to vbet small. and medium pocket pairs he will lay down to the shove a % of the time anyway. but i like shove too. but c/r more.

its sorta like, vs this guy when you give him the opportunity to check behind or bet and he decides to bet he's probably gonna have your hand owned a lot but if you shove river and dont give him that opportunity he'll maybe call u with a wider range
