As you who play on iPoker know, MyPushIsYourPleasure is a quite solid TAGgy type player. He's 22/17/3.2 over a nice sample and I think he generally balances his 3-bet range pretty well too. He probably views me as slightly omni-calling player who has occasionally gotten out of line. So I know he knows I'm tricky and he also knows I know he's not a chump (might be wrong on this one actually, regs are prolly searching me).

We haven't really clashed much in this match, the hand begun pretty standard. He decided to take a line that looks really really strong, which made it sort of counterintuitive play for a valueplay. Then however, a nasty looking card hits on the river after I CALLED the turn checkraise and he still pushes it in. Is this a guy pushing in the nuts or taking his bluff to the felt? ie. is he pushing this because I can't have an 8?

Note that I didn't push the turn for two reasons:
1) I'm really not expecting to get called by worse
2) If he's behind, he's likely to have little outs
3) Better to let him hang himself

not sure why you would consider folding here

I also don't mind felting the turn since blind v blind battles get over aggro / mid stakes players are paranoid

I think he raises a lot on the turn for value that you have beat and he will stack off with.
On the river your hand looks like top pair, so maybe he will try to bluff you quite a bit, but I mean it doesnt look like an easy call at all.

Yea, I actually wanna hear opinions about the overall line too. He probably figured I'm floating, which would have sucked if I didn't hit the set. I guess pushing the turn makes this hand easier to play.

I thought this line would have more value tbh, but now that you pointed out the blind vs blind, he might stack off with moderate king or 2p here a lot.

yep get the money in on the turn. Even if he has air here a lot he probably won't continue to bluff on this board unless it's an Ace, perhaps 7-8 but it's difficult to say since people hate to fold TP. Don't know what a slightly omni-calling player is but if it's a station raising the turn is the right play imo.

Im not much for cards but I think these .45s beat a full house

Heheh, by omni-calling I meant stationy and I was talking about myself. I've made some herocalls in the past and I'm sure he has some notes on me with those

felt the turn i dunno why you don't expect to get paid by worse, if he's doing this for value with KQ AK AA or any 2 pair he's obviously not doing it with the intention of folding to a shove. you only lose to a straight or oversets, can't give that any consideration - just shove

One day good. One day bad. And some days, even hope

what? you dont expect to call your turn raise with worse?

exactly as Midian said, he is no raising turn for value to fold to a shove cause its retarded beyond comprehension.

You definitely have to call imo. You can expect a push on this river with pretty much his entire turn bluffing range, and that was the point of flatting the turn anyway. Also sometimes he is able to use the 4str8, and the fact that he probably doesn't have it in your eyes, to make a thin value play with worse like AK.

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.
