Is it ever ok to do, or should I be folding if I can't raise?

I find myself completing with hands like 85s, A3s or 22-44 sometimes when there are limpers, but maybe it's not the right move..

85s are really bad to complete with because you will be dominated by a lot of hands and by your suit, hand likes A3s and 22-44 are marignally okay and I occasionally do it with as stronger hands like pocket 99 and AQ~

i think completing in full ring is a leak with most hands, usually its a bad habit

normally u complete, see flop and just give up, sucks playing oop and the best ur gonna flop is usually some kind of flush draw or straight draw (which especially sucks having to play oop) or trips/twopair which is sure good but its a crapshoot to hit one in the first place lol

and if u start getting a lot of action in a limped pot its normally a set -_-

best to try different stuff and check ur profits in poker tracker and filter out the hands u normally raise

this will tell u if its worth completing or folding

i usually only complete AJ, AT, QJs or KQs, and lowish pocket pairs like 8's or lower, and all suited connectors if there are 4 ppl that limped or something rediculous like that

I don't like to post good advice but I'm in a good mood. It's really bad to limp the SB with trash hands in multi (4-5) way pots. Those hands just don't flop strong enough of the time to make playing them oop against that many opponents profitable. HOWEVER, limping the SB with atc can be extremely profitable if you are 3 handed or BvB. 3 Handed you can just pot a lot of diff. flops and take the pot down a ton. If you get it BvB, limp ATC, and min bet any flop. You only have to win 1 in 3 to show a profit and ppl fold a ton. Plus its a great cheap way to build an aggressive image and some ppl super monkey tilt and you can own them with big pairs by limp/raising etc..

Its a bad exploitable play, but if you are playing with someone who would never raise you preflop when you complete then you should complete obv.

probably not gonna make money vs good players by doing it, but certainly if fish is in the hand.

How can completing 22-44 / any AXs be anything but a slamdunksnap complete in the sb with limpers?? I don't play fullring but I don't get this 85s seems like a standard complete with 1 or 2 limpers too, is fullring that different?

I'd complete if the big blind is unlikely to raise and is a fish with hands that flop decently.. also expecting to take it down on the flop a lot with a bet. Mostly i think im raising tho.

Ggplz, it's with liiiiiimpers. I'm sure you are not gonna isolate out of position with 22 unless he like limp folds every hand.

bigred: exactly what do you consider trash?

whatd you do with hands like 8Ts, 78o, KTs?(assuming villains are like..19/14 or whatever

rogier : trash is just any hand that doesn't play well multi (92o, 73o, Jxo, blah blah) Hands like suited gappers, connectors, sc's, and broadway (suited and not) are fine to complete with from SB with multiple villains bc all those hands can flop well and make decent pair value. Just remember you're not limping J8ss from the SB and stacking off on a J x x flop.

also atc = any two cards.
