maybe its just me, but a good villain makes this alot closer than u guys are saying? I mean in the villains eyes your range can be super wide, making this a great spot to bluff especially considering his image. |

A big part of the question is obviously what hands he calls your turn bet with. But if hes not cbetting many flops then his turn calling range is probably decently wide. |

so villain here is sick enough to sniff out players who bet/fold too much on rivers?
this really looks like he's raising for value here and it's doubtful he's value raising thin vs someone he doesn't have much history with. |

thing is he doesn't have a bluffing range very often, when he checks flop and calls turn a good player is almost never going to have something like unpaired black cards, he'll almost always have at least a medium diamond or middle pair where his decision is just call or fold on the river. If he was a worse player the decision is more difficult because he's calling turn with trash more often, and he'll be more likely to make some non-thinking aggressive river move. |

thing is the Ad isn't really that much better because I think its pretty rare he's raising this large with just the Kd for value. So basically you're still just bluff catching, but with the Ad out of his range I don't know what the hell he could be taking this line with and I would probably make a very curious call. |

He's game matches that of 22 very well guys...
Whatever, you ought not to bet 2.5x PF, go 3.5x or at least 3x if you actually wanna steal the blinds in the toughest-countered way.
And, you do wanna focus your game on stealing the blinds, and stealing money from other players who steals the blinds or just spews. That is one reason that will not go away when moving up in stakes.
If you bet, bet big, if you get fought too bad, evaluate textures @ flop better, if you have to check-surrend too much and cant fight by adjusting in some check-raises with OK hands, then tight up in that position etc...
Your game will vs good opponents find need to be quite tight nomatter what size you bet preflop, and the opponents will find it easier to fight back at you profitably when you bet that small, because they will risk only like 100$ to reraise you, and when they do you will have a shitty time evaluating their ranges that might very well be adjusted vs you alone, or not, etc etc... You will be in a land of shit in the end i figure.

Kd is on the board and i think given how it played out kerpowski has to be raise/folding Ad instead of just calling.
this hand is an easy fold imo. |
