people is stupid and telling them they is stupid will not change that...poker is pretty egotistical and when you tell someone they suck they wont accept that as true (unless they already realize it, which seems to be pretty damn rare) and usually have to prove you wrong and even if they dont theyll usually walk away thinking you got lucky or some bs (Go watch the movie Deal and see what most people I HAVE come across think about poker)...now telling them exactly what they is doing wrong is not too bright imo especially when it may point out to other players at the table things to think about...with this said tho, i am fish so ya, im sure some of the beratement should be directed at me...if berating someone keeps me from ruining my comp or personal belongings due to tilt or spewing more money, i will do it all goddamn day long...another fun thing to do is to randomly tell someone the baby in their pic is ugly and proceed from there...very amusing chats to be had by doing that lol

i don't "berate" anyone really, i just make funny/sarcastic remarks at regulars who start trying to justify retardation. i also give people shit when they start to explain to me how unlucky i got or something.

It's like you open your own business and you berate customers when they enter your shop, this is completly retarded ! Giving them the proper play or pointing their leaks is even worse... It's because they play bad people make money, if they weren't doing mistakes then Poker would be pointless, no money could be made off this game.

Plus people have to keep in mind this is just a game, even if money is on the line you can still be polite and fairplay. Even if someone is teasing you after they suck out grossly it's fine, just be patient and wait for the good hand.

i find that some mild needle on a fish who is already tilting is very EV+, like u hit a draw against them and they are all tilty "OMFG you lucky bitch :@ !!! u always hit" then a comment like "ship it!!!" puts them on life tilt hard.

lol it was really funny one night at 2/5 live at wynn. this geek sitting to my left is a standard ultra-nit regular who has read NLTAP and thinks he's a genius, wearing his sunglasses and holding perfectly still all the time and shit. so there's some pot where somebody raises, i 3bet, and raidan909 folds on the button. the original raiser shoved and i called, then raidan told the dealer that he folded J9 and doesn't want to see that he would have won the pot. the board runs out J974J and raidan is saying to the dealer, like "ugh, MAN, i shouldn't have folded!!"

so the guy to my left leans over and whispers to ME, "it doesn't matter what he would have gotten on the board, you see. it's only important that he made the correct decision. and he should obviously fold J9"

so first i nod my head, slowly, like this is the first time i've ever heard somebody discuss such a concept, and then i say "yeah....yeah hey you're right! HEY RAIDAN DID YOU HEAR THAT? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE HAD, SO STOP BEING A RESULTS-ORIENTED FISH!!!"

raidan COMPLETELY gets the joke and simply replies, with a big smile, "of course it matters. didn't you see what i would have had? i would have had a FULL HOUSE!!!"

so i sit back down and whisper to the guy on my left, "wow, that kid is an IDIOT huh?"

guy on my left doesn't say anything and looks REALLY embarrassed

i played with that same guy another night. he's one of those fucking time-wasting faggots who doesn't chop. he took the seat directly to my left and when he told me he didn't chop, i told him that he was going to hate his life for saying it. i proceeded to win like 12 out of 14 bvb hands against him that night. he was getting really frustrated. funniest hand was...i raised sb, he 3bet me from bb (which he never does so his range is ultra tight), i beat him into the pot with JTo, flop is AsKs3h. i check he checks. LOL so the turn is the 7s so i lead for pot. he folds JsJ face-up and i show the JdTs

lol i got berated at a live table for checkraising all in in a 3bet pot w/ gutshot straightflush draw and overcard ... some chick flopped top set w/ JJ and was like ... you realized you only had ace high right? the rest of the table looked at me w/ scorn. they always hate me live cuz i raise every hand thats folded to me basically.
