Played with original raiser before, I have him pegged as straight forward and tight. 3better is very LAG and creative from what I've seen so far. No HUD in play during hand.
Going over my options in the hand (in my mind):
If I 4bet original raiser is 5betting me all in with hands I bet and never flatting. At this point I'm committed to calling. If original raiser folds, I do not expect LAG to ever call. He doesn't like to play OOP from what I can tell.
If I flat original raiser calls with worse and I can play poker post flop. If he pitches, I can play post flop with LAG which I think is highly +EV in position long term. Plus, my hand strength is hidden to him.
I've had mixed responses to the people I've pasted this to but most have said 4bet and get it in with the nit expecting to have the best hand and treat your hand like AK. I had another friend say that "Your hand looks so strong here you just need to get it in", which I don't really understand because if I'm representing so much strength how does the original raiser ever get it in with worse?
This is a spot I struggle with often with hands like TT-QQ in ackward situations that are a rarity (such as the action and 'profiled' players here preflop).
Advise?
Playing about 20/18/5 when this hand went down if it changes anything. |

if big owl and engel have been doing any sort of light action at all i'll be more inclined to do a smallish 4 bet to about 55-60 with a wider range here including monsters.
if engel is a nit i might flat/fold depending on how the game has been playing at the time.
obviously in general we are 4 bet/shoving/calling a shove here all day. |

I think coldcalling the 3bet here is going to look about as strong as a 4bet especially if the opponents view u as a decent reg. Just imagine what kind of coldcalling range u have against 3bets and u'll see that ur hand becomes pretty transparent no matter what u do. Not sure what kind of history u've had with either of them but standard play would be to 4bet/call a shove or just shove pf. Personally, I'd go with Yomer's advice and 4bet to 55-60 to give him some rope in case he tries something. |

I think coldcalling turns your hand face up so its out of the question so 4bet and get it in. |

I think 4betting here the only hands that are gonna shove over you is AK/KK/AA by calling shouldn't the original raiser have a wider shoving range assuming he knows the 3better is pretty laggy? |
