seriously, try just giving yourself ridiculous excessive praise (and actually saying it aloud) when you do anything good. it will help a LOT

this is so funny. i do this all the time, and thought maybe i was the only one. my roommates used to think it was pretty funny shouting things like "BOO YEAH. WHATS UP NOW COWARD ASS MOTHAFUCKA YOU GOT PWNTTTT" from my room. I catch a joke or two for it every so often.
