This forum has been getting clustered quite a bit with transfer requests:

+ Show Spoiler +

I suggest we make a Transfer request system that is built into the site that is regulated. Similar to the way Ebay has a + - and neutral feedback system we should do the same. When a transfer is initiated and completed both users can leave feedback on the other user, this will weed out many of the scammers. It will also eliminate the need for using your blog, the main poker section and what ever else to get money from one site to another. It is still not fool proof and you have to use your head to not get scammed as always, but it is better then nothing.

Example:

A large chart like this could be setup, and forms with drop down combo boxes could be used to post your transfer request and in turn they could also be used to see if a transfer request has already been posted. MAKE NOTE I DO NOT ACTUALLY NEED TO DO AN XFER this is just an example.

You should also be able to click on the users name and see a more detailed explanation of there user rating, that way 2 people cant just boost each others user rating. Comments should also be allowed with each feedback provided.

hm, problem is that if this list is given false info somehow by random scammers this can make LPers transfer to dodgy sources... also i dont picture LPers who do this sort of thing regularly being particularly keen on filling out a list like this

You would need to log in to use the list, and it would be controlled by forms so you could just enter "random" data.

I think what ggplz is trying to say is, you're assuming all feedback (who/amount) is equal when they're clearly not

seems like the benefits of doing this won't justify the cost in time and effort of setting it up even if everyone uses it and it slightly reduces forum clutter (which isnt that severe anyway). but since not everyone will use it because of laziness or not knowing about it, it wont even fix the "problem". just like people make their own threads and posts now when theres an "official" thread for them, ppl will do the same if something like this existed

in order to move higher and shine brighter you use other mens dreams as stepping stones

i've always thought that a 3rd party system would work best.

Both players fill out what is being done. Then when the escrow gets the money the trade is executed.

I would be willing to do this permanently for a very small fee, in fact that might be a better idea then mine.

Yes I agree, but not everyone would look through the feedback and origin. False sense of security to lower guard is in a sense, worse than having no system in place if you think about it.

it would be easiest if liquidpoker (nazgul or meat or someone) just set up an escrow account on a couple of the major sites and u both submit ids amounts etc and then liquidpoker transfers the money for u

would be a huge favor maybe could charge a small amount / transaction or something so its worth while iono

I like that idea FrinkX, I would be willing to head it up. Because I see like 20 people a week that need xfers
