Casinos in Macau

I was wondering if any one has ever been to Macau to play NLH cash games ?

For the first time in history, Texas Holdem Poker is being offered in a Macau Casino. The renegade casino is the Grand Lisboa, and they opened up four tables of holdem earlier this week.

Reports say that there were two 5/10 no limit games, a 1/2 no limit game, and a 20/40 limit game. Each game had very long waiting lists.

Poker is exploding in Asia, as was evident by the success of the APPT (Asia-Pacific Poker Tour).

"We are confident that Texas Hold'em will become very popular here," said Louis Ng, SJM director and chief operating officer, in the AP article. "It is popular in Europe and in the U.S. and there are international Texas Hold'em Poker tournaments every year."

Macau is arguably the gambling mecca of the world, raking in more dough each year than the strip casinos in Las Vegas.

I might be going there to see how it looks like coz currently I am in Singapore. I might stay there from few days up to few months if the games will be profitable.
I play NL100/N200 live.

It's hard for me to believe that only 1 month ago they opened first NLH tables.

I just came back from Macau. There are about 10 NLH tables at the Grand Lisboa, the smallest BI is 2000 $HK and the largest is 10000 $HKD. The games are very popular and the skill level is laughable. I have seen people consult the betting pattern handout during the play as it was their first time. I was called down to the river with A-hi in a 500 BB pot. One guy went all-in blind preflop when another challenged him. With all that, there's already plenty of rounders running around trying to take advantage.

What do you mean if I go? I just went. It's a donkfest.

Internet and other forms of poker are illegal in Thailand but I have been living here for the past 6 months and playing and no incidents so far. I have even played in an outdoor internet cafe, a fairly public place. I also make no secret about what I do to people that I meet.

and yeah macau sounds super sick. the games must be softer than nl2 on stars

Why does it matter who allows internet poker? I live in a country that prohibits it and at the same time I spend 60% of my waking time playing it. And Macau IS China, by the way.
