question about chinese poker

I just saw the video with Tom Scheinder on chinese poker on cardplayer tv. He explains how too play the game exept for 1 thing i'm not sure about. If someone knows how too play please answer. In your 3 card hand: does 3 of the same suit count as a flush? 3 in a row count as a str8? or can you just make a pair and trips in your 3 card hand? ty.

it's obviously a gambling game as the money is already in and you can't really dictate the outcome after a certain point anyway.

also chinese poker isn't even close to razz in terms of skill/luck factor... wtf

i have a question tho... we play chinese poker differently here... there has to be 4 players and 1 player (the dealer/banker) has to go against the other 3 players... do you play it the same way?

it is indeed like 80% gambling(only kicker and combination configs spell the difference most times). ive played with one guy that was really hard to beat though, and ive been a winning chinese poker since i was a kid. last time i plyaed though i got totally ass raped, the hands were just sooo unreal. but i felt it was some magic trick coz i played with 3 guys the other was the mayor's son, the banker's dad was a senator and he brought his own dealer, who i later found out was an amateur magician LOL

how we always play is:

naturals worth 6 points that don't need to go to showdown: 3 straights, 3 flushes, or 6 pairs

otherwise all hands go to showdown and Royalties are straight flush on bottom = 5 points, quads on bottom = 4 points
boat in middle = 3 points. i forget quads and straight flush in middle

trips on top is 4 points.

i run sick bad in that game i'm down ~4k in it in two sessions playing 15 a point and then 20 a point. i'm so addicted to it though =[

Anything in the middle counts double of whatever the bottom is. So in your example, quads would count as 8 points in the middle and straight flush would count as 10 points.

And yes, chinese poker is the nuts when it comes to gambling.
