the M & D in PEMDAS are equals, neither takes precedent over the other so they are simply done in order. The equation reads 20 ÷ 5 * (2 * 2)

In other news, robot dogs live sad and painful lives

Why would you post a sad video in the rofl thread...

2 minutes is the right length for that ridiculousness to be worth a watch, any longer and you would need to be drinking heavily and/or drugging yourself

yeah, they should just take the 630k and not make any movie.

lol. Does No one remember PEMDAS?

parenethesis exponent multiplication division add subtract

the answer is 1.

pretty sure the only way you get 1 is if its 20/(5*(2*2)) or 20/(5*2*2)

multiplication and division have the same order of operation, as do subtraction and addition, pedmas / bedmas is just how you teach it to young kids who otherwise would have no way of remembering such things

Again the thing is how you consider the "/" symbol, if a direct division or a fraction, probably before the computer age / was indicative of a fraction, numerator on left and denominator on the right thats where the confusion comes, not from order or operations

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen
