Wow, next week's episode will be orgasmic. I hope PA bulldozes over the table. I was hoping to see Ivey there. WTF? Any word on the players on next season? I know Brian Townsend will play...

what the hell why is it so inconceivable for the 7's to be good there? he's played all those hands online and that's never happened to him? WTF

alphablend   United States. Oct 30 2007 11:12. Posts 2279

No man he is pro, he can handle playing many tables at once. But he has trouble figuring out if his hand is good I think he was embarrassed. But what he did I find even more embarrassing.

He might've open folded for another reason...

That is to keep his tight image.

Is Guy a professional poker player or just a rich degen? Brunson said that only one person could really afford to play at the next episode and that was Guy... I am wondering how big a bankroll people like Esfandiari actually has to play $500k.

Guy Laliberté is the founder of the "cirque du soleil" and is a multibillionaire.. he learned poker playing the big game at the bellagio.

in HSP 1 Esfandiary said after losing a 200K pot that it was the biggest one he ever lost, so imo he isnt rolled to play with 500K.. neither is negreinu. they probably sold parts of themselves or took a big risk. PA, Benyamine and co. can afford it i guess

to be REMOTELY-sanely rolled for that game we're talking at LEAST $12m bankroll and at least half of those guys don't have that.

Are you sure Negreanu isn't?

If Negreanu isnt I would say he is close. Maybe he dosent have his poker bankroll up that high but including his total net worth he can play in that game with no problems. He has bought in for a million in season 1 for gods sake?

give them nothing, but take from them.. everything.

8 hungry wolves at the table and they all want a piece of the same sheep named Guy.

Raise me and die.

Edit -- This is speculation as to who has big enough rolls to comfortably play

I think probably

Negreanu
Guy Laliberté
Doyle
possibly Phil laaks entire equity (mixed with his wives) becuase most poker players dont have rich wives to include...
I would guess barry greenstien might be close?
maybe todd brunson becuase of his daddy

anyone else care to speculate? I could be really wrong. I would also agree they probably sold shares of themselves to play in this game.

chip reese, ivey and greenstein seem the most likely candidates

but i'm ruling out reese because of doyle's comment, and ivey probably isn't in either because they would have advertised that i guess

7 players confirmed from the preview:

Farha
Doyle
Esfandiari
Antonius (!)
Benyamine
Daniel Negreanu
Jamie Gold (ROFL)
